Matthews 2

Well, we won’t have Chris Matthews to kick around anymore.  And it’s in a weird sort of way that I think I might actually miss him.  But with that said, I must admit that I ALWAYS derive a certain amount of pleasure whenever I see one of these political mouthpieces get swallowed up by the very ones that they spend so much of their time trying to defend.  And so it would now seem that Matthews becomes yet another victim of those whom he always seemed more than quite content to sic upon others.

And so it was on this past Monday that a less than stellar ‘career’ came to a rather unceremonious end, not with a bang but with a bit of a thud when MSDNC host Chris Matthews announced his ‘retirement,’ following what had apparently been quite the number of negative stories about him over the course of just the last month.  Matthews opened his last show by saying, “Let me start with my headline tonight, I’m retiring.”  Retiring?  Or was it, perhaps, more like being put out to pasture?

Matthews then went on to say, “This is the last Hardball on NBC, and obviously this isn’t for lack of interest in politics. As you can tell, I have loved every minute of my 20 years as host of ‘Hardball.’”  Now I’m not sure what sort of ratings Matthews was managing to pull down every night, but I can’t imagine that he had that wide of an audience.  So it’s unlikely his departure from the airwaves will have that much of an impact there at MSDNC.  But I’m sure that there will be those who will miss him.

Anyway, Matthews then went on to address some of the controversies and allegations circling around him, even offering up an apology.  He said, “After my conversation with NBC, I decided tonight will be my last ‘Hardball.’ So let me tell you why. The younger generations out there are ready to take the reins. We see them in politics, in the media, in fighting for their causes, they are improving the workplace. We’re talking here about better standards than we grew up with—fair standards.”

Matthews said, “A lot of it has to do with how we talk to each other. Compliments on a woman’s appearance that some men, including me, might have once incorrectly thought were okay, were never okay. Not then and certainly not today, and for making such comments in the past, I’m sorry.”  The latest controversy for Matthews came last week as journalist Laura Bassett claimed that he made rather suggestive comments to her while she was preparing for an appearance on the network.

I seem to recall that it was back in 2017 that news first broke regarding Matthews’ alleged inappropriate behavior around women.   And more recently Matthews got himself into hot water for comparing Bernie Sanders’ performance in the Nevada caucuses to the invasion of France by Nazi Germany, something he later apologized for.  So perhaps it was his tendency to go off halfcocked that played a contributing factor to his being told that his services were no longer required.  Who knows?

But whether it was his inappropriateness around women that earned him his walking papers, or something else, it’s doubtful that we’ll ever know the real reason.  And quite frankly, I couldn’t care less.  But since roughly two-thirds of those who regularly tune into to MSDNC tend to be more to the left than even Bernie Sanders, perhaps it was Matthews’ outspoken opposition to Sanders, and the socialism which he so enthusiastically supports, that might have at least played a part in his departure.

I mean who’s to say that his ‘alleged’ impropriety with female colleagues was simply used as the necessary, and quite convenient, leverage to convince Matthews that his time had come.  After all, I think there is little question that it had likely been tolerated, for God knows how long.  And censorious as they are, leftists tend not to tolerate pundits who stray from approved and reliably partisan talking points.  And perhaps Matthews thought himself immune from any potential retaliatory actions.

Matthews said, “We’re talking here about better standards than we grew up with—fair standards.”  A rather interesting statement, I thought, to hear coming from Mathews.  Is he implying that his standards were not fair?   While I never was one that I would describe as a regular viewer of the guy, I did happen to catch a segment of his show just last week when he had Dr. Zeke Emmanuel on who, of course, proceeded to bash President Trump for being ignorant in his response to the Corvid-19 spread.

The entire segment amounted to nothing more than a bout of disgusting fear mongering, but then most of what I’ve been hearing on every network, including Fox News, has sounded pretty much the same.  Personally, I’m don’t believe any of the numbers being bandied about.  We’ve had 18,000 deaths from the flu this season alone and yet I’m supposed to be terrified of something that has thus far resulted in 9 deaths. The hysteria being generated, and directed at the president, is out of control.

But in getting back to Matthews, I’m quite sure that MSDNC will have little or no trouble when it comes to filling the void that Matthews leaves behind.  After all, there is no doubt a plethora of leftwing political hacks waiting in the wings, hungry for their opportunity to be in the ‘spotlight’, and who laughably view themselves as ‘journalists’ but who, in actuality, are anything but.  And they will likely be told to be more cognizant of the rules, than was Matthews, regarding sticking to the script.

And I think we sometimes forget to step back and realize this is what “draining the swamp” looks like.  Think of all those who have gone after President Trump only to end up punching themselves out or taken out by their own (un)friendly fire. Chris Matthews was a jack-leg who got what he rightfully deserved.  President Trump beat you Chris. You thought you’d help take him out and you got taken out from behind. We need to pause and take this in and savor it, as another is made to bite the dust!

I’ve never really been one to pay all that much attention to Chris Matthews, nor have I spent any amount of time watching his silly little program on MSNBC, hysterically entitled, ‘Hardball’.  Especially ever since that weird little incident from a few years back when Barry ‘O’ apparently caused some sort of strange sensation to go up Chris’s leg.  But be that as it may, he does tend to be, every now and again, good for a laugh.  And Wednesday’s episode provided a least couple of instances that must have provided at least a few of those tuning in a bit of a chuckle.

You see, it was during Wednesday’s program that our esteemed Mr. Matthews apparently saw fit to attempt to make his case of just how it is that President Trump is “doing everything he can to destroy this country and its government so that he gets off scot-free.”  Matthews read from an Associated Press (AP) report that the president “told one ally this week that he wanted ‘to brand’ the informant a ‘spy,’ believing the more nefarious term would resonate more in the media and with the public.”  Matthews’ using the AP as his source automatically calls his theory into question.

He said, “I mean, you create a conspiracy, vast conspiracy and use words like ‘Spy’ and ‘Spygate,’ trying to distract the jury, which is his basically, 40% of the country, have them sort of learn the music, learn the lyrics, start to say ‘Spygate.’ In fact, today, he was like Jimmy Two-Times in ‘Goodfellas.’ He was teaching his people on the air today, on-camera, outside the White House how to say the word ‘Spygate.’ He’s teaching everybody that, so that in the bars this weekend they’ll all be saying it.”  I’m confused, what else would you call an ‘informant’, if not a ‘spy?’

Anyway, Matthews then went on to say, “It’s horrible. And he’s doing everything he can to destroy this country and its government so that he gets off scot-free.”  And then in what I can only assume was an effort on his part to bolster his argument against the president, it was during this very same show that Matthews played a clip of one of his many go-to RINOs, soon to be ex-Senator Jeff Flake, criticizing President Trump at a commencement address to Harvard Law School graduates, where I think the ONLY reason he was invited to speak, is that he too hates the president.

And it was during this clip that Flake said, “Our presidency has been debased by a figure who has a seemingly bottomless appetite for destruction and division, and only a passing familiarity with how the Constitution works.”  He continued, “Our Article I branch of government, the Congress, that’s me, is utterly supine in the face of the moral vandalism that flows from the White House daily.”  I think it has now become pretty common knowledge that Flake is a ‘Swamp’ creature, and as such is no friend of President Trump.  Which is the main reason he’s soon to be an ex-senator.

Personally, I see those in the media, like Matthews, as being little more than a gift to President Trump, AND one that keeps giving and giving.  They all seem to have lost whatever objectivity they may have once possessed and have now become completely consumed by their leftwing ideology.  The more the media goes after the president, the more the people seem to come to his defense.  It’s on a daily basis that we see more talking heads exploding all across the various ‘news’ outlets as they become increasingly desperate, and fraudulent in their effort to undermine this president.

Matthews is but one in a crowd of many voices of evil that exist in the media today. His level of dishonesty and his support for corruption has become all to obvious.  I used to wonder how these people were able to look themselves in the mirror knowing exactly what it is that they are doing, fully aware of the lies they tell.  But for them the ends always justify the means, especially since their hatred of America remains so intense.  In the end though, they are no better than a common whore, selling their soul and whatever dignity they once had in order to advance their sick agenda.

And if by “destroy this country” Matthews means; enforcing immigration law, bolstering the economy, allowing Americans to keep more of their money, eliminating the Obamacare personal mandate fine, decreasing the National debt, creating jobs, all- time lows in unemployment, rebuilding the military that Barry gutted, then yes, he’s destroying the country.  The Trump presidency demonstrates just how dangerous the Left, as well as ‘The Establishment’ on both sides, has become.  There is nothing that they will not do to acquire power no matter what the costs to the country.

And regarding this moron, Flake, he has proven on more occasions than I care to count that he is little more than a back-stabbing hypocrite.  He’ll look the people dead in the eye and lie to them with a straight face.  And he’s another of those, like McCain and Graham, who can be counted on to always be waiting in the wings, willing to go in whenever some Republican is needed to attack the president.  Flake attempts to portray himself as being a conservative, but in reality he’s a fraud of the worst kind and nothing more than a loser and a quitter who knows when he’s beat.

And you’ll notice how he’s getting out of politics because he knows he has no chance of winning.  But does he go out like a man, of course not.  He has made it quite clear that he’s against what’s good for America.  President Trump has shown that he cares about the American people and American workers especially.  That’s the difference between him and loser Flake.  Like the immoral Democrats, Flake projects his own faults and crimes onto others.  Today, his reputation has eroded into what some would consider a “man lost in anger” with little to no definition.

Flake’s visceral disdain for first candidate Trump and now, to even a greater degree, President Trump has been consuming.  Rather than rationally serve the needs of his constituents and the country during current budget and historic immigration debates which are threatening government shutdown, Flake again simply chose to abandon his elected duties to rehash, regurgitate and propagandize his self-righteous disposition. Trump has enraged the establishment because he emphasizes the importance of keeping your campaign promises.  Something that Flake never managed to do.

Doing what you say you will do is a true sign of integrity and of real leadership, traits which the establishment disdains precisely because it places the people ahead of its frivolous charade.  President Trump proves almost on a daily basis that someone elected to higher office CAN actually keep many of the promises that got him, or her, elected.  The president has chosen to lead by example, but unfortunately, we have far too many in government who continually choose not to follow his lead.  And it is those individuals who we must focus on replacing with those who will.

These brain dead politicians and media types just don’t get it that the American people have had quite enough of their rigged system and we are going to take back America either at the ballot box or, if the elites resist by using their rigged system to try to thwart us, we will take back America by another, perhaps more violent, means.  And the Democrats, RINO’s like Flake, as well as those in the media like Matthews, will not like the outcome as many of them will most likely find themselves swinging from the end of ropes, figuratively speaking of course but swinging just the same.

Matthew 2

I’ve always thought of Chris Matthews as being a special kind of stupid.  And while I admit that I have tried to watch his show on more than one occasion, just to get the other side’s perspective on some issue, I’ve rarely, if ever, been able to make it past the first 10 minutes.  Because it’s generally by then that Chris has made some idiotic claim against conservatives or some baseless accusation regarding our president, or some other Republican, which tends to leave you wondering why it was that you decided to watch him in the first place, and leaves him looking like a political hack.

On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Hardball,” Matthews chose to comment on Al Franken’s resignation from the Senate by stating that the worst anyone can say about Democrats is that “they’re too pure.”  Matthews said, “I don’t know how you can avoid the education in this. The worst you can say about Democrats is they’re too pure. And that’s a stupid thing to say. But that’s the worst thing you can say about them. These guys set too high a standard for public office. How’s that for an argument? My opponents, the party of my opposition, they set too high a standard.”

His peculiar assessment of the Democrat Party comes despite the recent resignations of Al Franken and John Conyers over sexual harassment allegations.  Not to mention ‘Slick Willy’ Clinton, Anthony Weiner, and the scores of sexual predators in leftist Hollyweird and the biased news media. He said the Republican Party could learn a thing or two from the Democrats whom he views as taking the high ground by sacrificing Franken to make a statement against the continued support of Roy Moore, who has been ‘accused’ of dating teenagers when he was in his 30s back in the 1970s.

Now perhaps if good old Mr. “Tingle up his leg” Matthews is meaning to say that the Democrats are pure evil, well then, I’d probably be in agreement with him.  Because in looking at all this party stands for, how is it that any sane person can come to any other conclusion?  Democrats hate the police, they’re all in favor of grown men being allowed to use the same restrooms as our wives and daughters, they have no problem whatsoever with murdering babies right up to the time of delivery, and even for a short time after delivery, and they’re for open borders.  How’s that anything but evil?

Those willing to cut Matthews some slack regarding his claim of Democrat purity, could do so, I suppose, by making the argument that while what he said did sound more than a little outrageous, we have to consider it in the context of the narrative that those like him are now crafting.  You see, the Democrats now have what they see as being a prime opportunity.  First they out a few dead-weight Democrats, starting with Harvey Weinstein.  Then they supposedly seize the supposed moral high ground by forcing one of their more expendable politicians, in this case Al Franken, to resign.

And in their effort to strike while the iron is hot the Democrats are trying to portray themselves as the moral elite.  After all, they say, look at how they handled the evil amongst them.  Never mind that they tolerated it for decades, pay no attention to that. Instead, look at the sacrifices they’ve made the last few weeks.  They deserve your trust and they deserve your vote.  And oh by the way, Trump is a pervert too and the Republicans don’t even have the honesty to impeach him. That’s what Matthews is really saying, and that’s what they’ll all be saying for the foreseeable future.

I suspect this is their election strategy for the coming 2018 election and quite possibly leading up to the 2020 election as well.  But hey, at least they’re not advocating the killing of cops.  I’ll give them a certain amount of credit for that.  But that said, they’ll crank up the cop hate once again, just as soon as their new lame “purity” strategy fails, which it will. The Democrats are the party of evil, the party of lies, the party of racism, the party of intolerance, the anti-America party, the perversion party, and the party of hate.  Yet there are those who claim to be proud Democrats.

Personally, to my way of thinking Matthews is simply lamenting the fact that his beloved Democrats are no longer able to hide behind the double-standard which they have been able to count on to protect them for decades.  Such behavior as that seen from Franken and Conyers has long been viewed as being little more than a resume enhancer for Democrats while it was seen as being the kiss of death for Republicans.  And those in the media could always be counted on to downplay accusations against Democrats while those made against Republicans made the headlines 24/7/365.

And isn’t it amazing how the Democrats had virtually no problem whatsoever with sending a man to Congress for 46 years who had left a woman to drown, never bothering to stop at any of the houses he passed, but instead swam to shore and tried to get his cousin to take the blame and when that didn’t work he shielded himself with a team of high-priced Boston lawyers; all before they even pulled Mary Jo Kopechne’s dead body, out of the water.  This is the true Democrat Party, and anyone who refuses to recognize that fact is truly a twisted individual.

Matthews is the worst kind of bloviating political hack in what has become today a seemingly bottomless barrel of empty-headed leftwing talking heads populating the state-controlled media.  And it’s outside their circle of likeminded friends that their idiotic opinions are worth very little.  And it’s his shrinking viewership of leftwing zombies who willingly suffer through Matthews’ goofball show watching as he dutifully regurgitates his daily script of Democrat Party talking points, while no one else really gives a squat what this self-absorbed leftwing propagandist has to say.

Meet the Press - Season 65

So riddle me this: What is it that’s worse, a person who is totally brain dead, OR, that same person who does know that he is totally brain dead?  Because for the life of me I’m just not able to make the same connection that Chris Matthews makes when he says that merely talking about “law and order” makes one a racist.  Now don’t think for a minute that I waste a minute of my time watching the morons over there on MSNBC, because if there was ever a perfect definition for wasted time, that would be it.  However, I did read an article just this morning that pointed out how, during MSNBC’s coverage of the RNC on Thursday night, Matthews stated that the phrase “law and order” “carries a racial tone to it.”

So as we all know, or should know by now, Matthews is far from being one of the more intelligent folks on television.  But then he works for MSNBC, so expectations are already pretty low.  So anyway, he apparently wasn’t too fond of those who choose to speak about ‘law and order.’  He said, “[W]hy did he use the phrase with all its implications and attitude, ‘law and order.’ He didn’t say, ‘Let’s enforce the law.’ He did that once, most of it was the phrase ‘law and order,’ that was so Nixonian. I think that carries a racial tone to it. And by the way, safe schools, the reason we’re going to have vouchers and charter schools is not for better education, but to get the kids away from the bad neighborhoods.”

And then Matthew’s fellow anchor Joy Reid, in what I can only assume was an attempt on her part to prove she’s just as much of a leftist moron as Matthews is, said, “And the Johnson amendment. A lot these were signals that people in the audience, on the right would understand, I’m going to let the churches get directly involved in elections. Remember, the Johnson amendment was about some of the white churches in the South that were inveighing against the Civil Rights Act. That too has a racial tone.”  Now let’s be clear here, when it comes to who it was that was against the Civil Rights Act that was actually the favorite political party of both these clowns, the Democrat Party!  Home of the KKK, Jim Crow and segregation.

Matthews added further confusion regarding the point that he was, I guess, trying to make when he added, “The Christian academies, which were created so they wouldn’t have a public school.”  Far be it from me to attempt to correct the rather bigoted Mr. Matthews, but actually, the academies to which he makes reference to were created as an avenue for parents to utilize in an effort to avoid what has been, and for quite some time, a horrendous public school system.  And I’d be very curious to know how many of Mr. Matthew’s children were exposed to our public school system.  Because I would be willing to be that not one of his three children went anywhere but to very expensive private schools.  But I digress.

But look, it’s clear that Hitlery’s people got their talking points out to those in the state-controlled media which Matthews is a proud card carrying member.  We heard the terms “racist”, “divisive” and “dangerous” all over the state-controlled media whenever the subject was this week’s Republican National Convention. While I’m quite sure that it fun for some, in a rather twisted sort of way, to watch these talking heads dribbling all over themselves I very rarely am ever able to bring myself to do it. Time goes by too quickly to waste even a second watching the unwatchable.  I have to wonder if Huma taped Trump’s speech for Hitlery so she could watch it whenever her raggedy-old ass managed to crawl out of bed.

Democrats always insist upon delivering racism, danger and division to the front doorstep of the right.  And it’s those things that they try to affix or attach to those of us on the right that actually comprise the legs of the Democrat Party platform.  And Trump has wasted little time in throwing it right back in their face.  And I have no doubt that that is a trend that we will see continuing.  Democrat talking points in a nutshell go like this: white people are privileged, black people are victims, as are Hispanic and Latino people, Asians have their own set of issues, as do Native Americans, and of course the LGBTQ folks need to be accommodated.   But dividing us is how the Democrat Party is able to continue in existence.

The bottom line here is that Matthews is nothing more than one more hypocritical racist Democrat, in what is a very large crowd of racist Democrat hypocrites, who apparently are of the opinion that all minorities are somehow criminals.  I mean, does he really think that blacks are against having a little more law and order in their own neighborhoods?  Does he think that they are willing to tolerate the black on black crime that continues to take place?  Personally, I think perhaps Matthews hasn’t yet gotten used to all of the colored people that he has to interact with and on a pretty regular basis.  And I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he gets a little worried when he sees a dark skinned person walking near him.

Whether he might have been experiencing one of those very rare moments of lucidity, or it was one of those instances that you hear people talk about where even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then, or where even a broken clock is right twice a day, it would seem that MSNBC’s Chris Matthews inadvertently experienced a episode of what can only be described as a bit of brutal honesty, just this past Tuesday night, when he had the sudden realization regarding all of the problems the Democrat Party now seems to be having in the run up to the 2016 election.

Matthews commented recently on his show “Hardball” that the many of the issues the Democrat Party stands for in 2016 are not “well received” by large numbers of Americans.  Well no shit Chris, but then that’s only because the Democrat Party, as a whole, couldn’t give two shits about what truly concerns the majority of ‘working class’ Americans, or those Americans who want nothing more than to have a job. Because what has now become ‘Job 1’ of the Democrat Party to get as many people as is humanly possible firmly attached to the government teat!

Our old buddy Chris said, “I’ve been working on this project about the early elections in the ’50s and ’60s, and the Kennedy races and I have to tell you, back then, being a Democrat was great. You talked about unemployment, you talked about jobs, you talked about putting people to work, you talked about minimum wage, you talked about Medicare.”  But Chris, that was before the party decided to lurch so sharply to the left that it has now become nearly impossible to find a Democrat anywhere who’s able to explain the difference between a Democrat and a Socialist.

And then Matthews went on to say, “Now you’ve got to talk about guns, which people don’t want to hear.”  And he added, “You got to talk about how coal is bad for the country and bad the world. You talk about same-sex [marriage] in a part of the country that isn’t too keen on that cultural stuff” and “abortion.”   He said, “So all of a sudden, you’re talking about things that aren’t really well received. But in the old day, a Democrat could just say, ‘There’s a lot of poverty here, let’s do something about it.’”  All of a sudden, Chris?  Really?

But you gotta to ask yourself, why is it that Matthews seems so surprised?  It has been people like him who have refused to hold the Democrats accountable, and to keep bringing up those issues that he implies used to be owned by the Democrat Party.  Now I don’t generally tune in to watch Matthews, but having said that I can’t remember the last time I heard anyone mention how it was that Chris chose to discuss any issue that is actually of importance to most Americans.  Mostly what he chooses to talk about are those issues that most Democrats want to talk about.

Anyway, it was in reacting to Matthews’ list of issues the Democrat Party is facing that Republican pollster Kellyanne Conway commented, “The Democratic Party moved to the left and I think it never really had a conversation about where the party was going to go.”  And it was Conway who essentially stated the obvious when she said, “This is not Bill Clinton’s Democratic Party.” She went on to say, “That’s obvious. The centrist, moderate, southern governor, Democratic governor, who are those? Where are the Blue Dog Democrats.”

Matthews interrupted Conway to ask her if she was “thrilled” and she said, “I’m thrilled because Hillary Clinton is trying to wage right now, quite unsuccessfully, a two-front war. Bernie’s to her left so she’s moving over there when she can. Donald Trump has vanquished 16 opponents, she can’t vanquish one. So I think he could pivot to a general election and take her on the next 90 days.”  And it’s right about now that I’m wondering just how many Democrats there are who might be wishing they had been better able to gauge the political winds and had entered this race.

Matthews has long been one of those who, and right from the beginning of this sleigh ride to Hell known as the Barry ‘O’ presidency, felt that it was the job, even the responsibility, of our state-controlled media to come rushing in to defend our first black president and to do everything possible to make his administration look good.  Regardless of the damage being done to the country. However, I think it fair to say that for the most part, despite their best efforts, nearly every attempt perpetrated by those involved in this circling of the wagon has failed pretty spectacularly!

And by the way, Matthews seems to be somewhat surprised to find out that the issues Democrats are talking about, aren’t very popular.  But this my-way-or-the-highway-sit-in-the-back-and-shut-up-we-won mentality has been going on for nearly 8 years now!  His ratings alone should have been a big clue that few support the left’s rather twisted agenda. Most issues presented by the left were edicts with no discussion allowed. There has been obvious oppression against any and all dissent, going so far as to use federal agencies to squelch all opposition.

It’s like…..Duh, all of a sudden Rip Van Winkle woke up!  And as far as Democrats wanting to do something about poverty, we’ve been down that road, it was back in January 1964.  Back when Johnson declared ‘war on poverty’ in America.  But even back then it was less about poverty than it was politics.  Johnson himself said he’d have blacks voting Democrat for the next 200 years.  And since then the taxpayers have spent $22 Trillion on Johnson’s war, and to say that it has been a total failure would be too kind.  And he has 148 years left of his initial plan of 200.

Not only have Democrat policies failed to eradicate poverty, it’s at the same time that these same policies have been responsible for the skyrocketing of out of wedlock births and teen births along with the number of single parent households while at the same time being behind a significant decrease in literacy. Obviously I could go on ad nauseam listing the failures and unintended consequences, but we all know the results.  However it is worth pointing out that that $22 Trillion is only a couple Trillion more than our current Nation Debt.

So what’s a guy like old Chris to do?  Will he work to bring those issues that once made one proud to be a Democrat to the forefront, or will he instead simply get on the anti-coal, climate change, gay marriage bandwagon despite the fact that he seems to have admitted that such “things that aren’t really well received” by a great many Americans?  Let’s face it, independent thought is not something that’s really accepted within the ranks of the Democrat Party, so there is no doubt that this brief fling with sanity we see from Matthews, is sure to be short lived.
