RACE, RACE, RACE, WHO’S AFRAID OF RACE???

Well, apparently, that would be anyone, and everyone, opposed to what is nothing more than the blatantly racist drivel referred to as ‘Critical Race Theory’ (CRT). So let me start off by saying that I am a 69 year old white male, and proud of it. And it’s in looking back over time that I feel justified in saying that up until our country decided to elect itself a black president, race relations in this country had been steadily improving. And while I was certainly no fan of Barack Obama (BO), politically speaking, I figured that at the very least race relations would only continue to improve. But ‘BO’ turned out to be more than a little disappointing in that regard.

Because, oddly enough, it was during his tenure that race relations in the U.S. were made to deteriorate to a point not seen in over 75 years. And fast-forwarding to 2021 race relations in this country have only continued to worsen. And that would be primarily because of the Democrats and more specifically, Black Democrats. And it’s one of the more troublesome of these Black Democrats that is none other than Sheila Jackson Lee. You see, it was on Thursday’s broadcast of MSDNC’s “All In,” Lee stated that “the real question on this Critical Race Theory is why we’re so afraid of race. Why is it the third rail?” When we’re better as a country when we talk about race.

And it was in responding to a question on the debate over CRT in schools that Lee once again demonstrated the fact that she truly is one of the more ignorant members of Congress. She said, “You know what we should be teaching is truth. We held people in bondage, we had a brutal history, meaning America. There were masters and slaves. The Constitution did not grant us citizenship or even status as one human being. But we survived and we had the Harriet Tubmans of the world, the Sojourner Truths of the world, we had the Frederick Douglasses of the world. And so, that is the beauty of America. We were resilient. We should tell that story.”

She said, “Brutality comes with survival and success, and then we need to tell the story that the day that we were freed shows America’s compassion and love for freedom.” And she went on to add, “The day of the Emancipation Proclamation and in 1863, the President, Abraham Lincoln, who did not survive this period, indicated that a nation divided against itself cannot stand. And so, Juneteenth is a reckoning that we wanted to survive as a nation and we freed the slaves. That’s a beautiful story, even in the backdrop of the brutality.” She added, “I think the real question on this Critical Race Theory is why we’re so afraid of race. Why is it the third rail?”

And it was Lee who then went on to say, “When we are better when we talk about it, when we understand it, and when we acknowledge that my race should not be any more difficult to discuss than the pilgrim’s pride, than of course, our friends who are truly Native Americans or Latinx or LGBTQ or the Asian community or the South Asian community. America, you’re an experiment, show the world your experiment is working. Juneteenth today…shows America and shows the world that we can accept our difference and we can establish what freedom is all about.” Juneteenth is nothing more than another bullshit ‘holiday’ that shows the world how divided we are.

If we are “afraid to talk about race” it’s only because those same people who claim to want to have a conversation are also the very people doing everything in their power to prevent any dialogue from actually taking place. What the left wants is not a dialogue or a conversation; what they want is for you to tell them that they are right, and it’s anyone who refuses to do will then simply be ignored at best and demonized at worst. The real question is why are we kowtowing to 13 percent of the population who have generally low performance and expectations beyond their ability? Why do we even give those who blame others for their own failings, the time of day?

Lee claims to want the truth. And the truth is that none of us who are alive today had anything to do with slavery. Slavery ended 156 years ago, yes it was essentially a dark time in our history, but our country was able to move beyond it when so many other countries were not. Stop putting it in everyone’s face. We can teach it, but it does not have to define us. There are no slaves or slave owners today and there haven’t been in over 150 years. Not to mention that the first slave owner in the U.S. was black. The people who sold us slaves were black. It seems they can’t discuss race unless they are being intellectually dishonest about the worst offenders being black.

You want to talk about race? Ok, then let’s talk about why Blacks, who make up around 13 percent of the population, commit over 50 percent of the violent crimes in the country. Let’s talk about how black on white crime is about eight times that of white on black crime. And let’s talk about how 75 percent of all black households have no father figure and in which the mother allows her children to run the streets during all hours of the night, she has five children with five different men, does nothing but collect her government checks, and then sues the city when one of her saintly children get offed by cops trying to resist or attack them.

Lee, conveys it is ‘we’ who are afraid of race. No white folks I know fear race. It is mostly anger at people of all races who make their money from the criminal element or who won’t work for some reason or the other or think that staying high and drunk all the time is a viable lifestyle. People (of all races) who show up to work every day earn respect even though you disagree with their politics. Having both parents in the household greatly increases the chances for success. Having the federal government replacing a parent as a provider results in disrespect, all people in such a situation have a difficulty respecting themselves. It is Lee who is afraid, she tells you this.

Yes, it’s the left that’s afraid of race. They see racism around every corner, lurking behind every tree and in every white person. They are obsessed with race. And it’s those on the left who are the experts at accusing those who disagree with, politically, of doing what they themselves are doing. In this case, the left, seeking to implement their idea for government and society (the leftist elite oppressor, ruling over the impoverished collective oppressed) is trying to blame ‘white’ people for being ‘oppressors’ of ‘blacks’ as the ‘oppressed’ to gin up a conflict. It’s the same old Marxist story. Business owners vs the employees. The bourgeoisie vs the proletariat.

And why exactly do we need to continue to talk about race? Slavery ended 156 years ago. How long do we have to keep talking about it? Another thousand years? No one alive today has ever enslaved anyone, or been enslaved. I’m not responsible for historical slavery in any way, and yet I have to hear this nonsense from black people on a daily basis. It’s just an excuse that blacks use to justify their own anti-white racism, and I’m sick of it. Blacks will never find another country where they have the opportunities granted to them here, if only they are willing to work for them. And yet far too many only whine about how their skin color is, somehow, holding them back.

Why are Democrats still so obsessed with judging people by the color of their skin? It’s because division is all Democrats have going for them. The problem is that blacks don’t want a discussion on race. Every time the conversation moves toward accountability and personal responsibility blacks claim ‘racism.’ What Ms. Lee is really asking is, why don’t all us white folks just admit that we’re all the closet Klansmen that she accuses us of being. White people are no more or less prejudiced than any of the other races on Planet Earth, but those like Lee are trying to paint whites as racist and blacks as being incapable of being racist, and that simply is not the case.

For folks to be so hung up on systemic racism, the unfairness of judging by skin color and the need for equality, why is it that so many Democrats insist on dividing people by skin color, and assigning privilege by skin color? Isn’t skin color the very thing we want to ignore? And if Black lives truly do matter, why is it that Democrats care so very little about the number of blacks who die every day at the hand of other blacks in so many of our Democrat controlled cities? Or, that blacks abort their babies at a rate that far exceeds all other races? Why are blacks so obsessed with cops killing black men, yet black men kill each other in far greater numbers and no one cares!

Democrats, such as Lee, don’t really want any sort of true conversation on race. It would be too painful for her racist little heart to bear to find out that most white people don’t give a crap what the color of her skin is. What they do care about is they’ve been blamed for decades, and continue to be blamed for all the problems in the black community while blacks sit on their collective ass doing nothing about their own actions that contributed to the cluster they live in, and falling for every social and political huckster who saw them as nothing more than an opportunity to make some quick cash and maintain political power. Lee doesn’t want THAT conversation!

And finally, it’s not about fearing race, it is about Democrats projecting the sins of their past onto those who oppose them. It is they who fought a war to keep Blacks enslaved, treated them no better than farm animals, denied them the right to learn, to read, and to write, created the KKK, burned crosses, lynched Blacks, promoted Jim Crow laws, strenuously fought to deny Blacks the right to vote, believe in and support abortion under the guise of ‘race betterment’ and so very much more. Democrats are still working to deny Blacks their fair shot at the American dream and it’s black Democrats like Jackson Lee who are only too happy to play their part.
