ALL IN FAVOR OF ADDING ‘BO’ TO MOUNT RUSHMORE???

I gotta be honest with you, I damn near sent my morning coffee spewing out my nose this morning  when I read about how CNN faux ‘journalist’, Don ‘LeMoan’ thinks that by affixing the ugly mug of ‘BO’ to Mount Rushmore that that would make all things right with the world.  Yup, apparently it was on Tuesday, there at ‘fake news’ HQ, that ‘LeMoan’ brought up how ‘BO’ should be added to the Mount Rushmore sculptures of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt.  Yup, I can see where ‘BO’ would fit right in with these guys.  NOT!!!

Apparently, it was while discussing a California couple recently charged for painting over a “Black Lives Matter” mural that ‘LeMoan’ said, “You see the right-wing machine kick in, media kick in and see Trump’s poll numbers go south. They kick in with Democratic cities are in chaos right now. Is this what you want from Joe Biden?  And they are taking your country away and they are going to take down statues. Crime is rising. It’s so bad. Oh my, defund police. And the people who you saw there for the most part —not specifically, as a whole, fall for it. They fall for it.”

‘LeMoan’ went on to say, “That’s why they do things like that. They want to paint over signs and think it’s our country. This is the country that we built. Even though a rich diversity of people helped build the country, and many of us, meaning ancestors, for free — did not get paid for it, could not get an education, could not build wealth, are not on statues, Confederate or otherwise, are not on Mount Rushmore. I think, listen … if they are going to put someone on Mount Rushmore, considering the history of the country, the first black president should be front and center.”

And then, of course, his fellow ‘anchor, Chris ‘Fredo’ Cuomo chimed in and apparently agreed with his pal ‘LeMoan’ and said, “Add to Mount Rushmore. I think that’s first of all, it’s a more salable idea than the idea of taking away Founding Fathers.”  To which ‘LeMoan’ responded, “So what’s wrong with all of us together thinking or reshaping our country so that more people rethink our country in the way we think and where priorities are so the country it belongs to everyone.” ‘Fredo’ said, “Nothing is wrong with it.”  Actually, there’s everything that’s wrong with it!

Anyway, it was from there that ‘LeMoan’ went on to say, “Maybe some of the people up there on Mount Rushmore, who knows? The name shouldn’t be Mount Rushmore if you talk to Native Americans. It is stolen land. It was only Mount Rushmore 40 years before they started to carve presidents’ faces in it. No one got any money for that.”  ‘Fredo’ said, “You’re totally right. The premise is where we have to work toward, which is if we all decide. It’s about consensus and collective consciousness.”  These guys should form a comedy team because they really are pretty funny.  Not!

So I’m assuming that ‘LeMoan’ isn’t all that concerned about the impact on American Indians or their ‘sacred grounds’ after all?  I’m guessing that his primary concern actually has more to do with the fact that there are apparently too many white faces on the mountain and we know ‘LeMoan’ hates white faces.  Add a black face up there and suddenly we’re all good.   These racist black liberals are the real hate group here in America.  So if ‘BO’ is up there then the other guys are okay?  So is what we might here nothing than perhaps a backdoor kinda way to get ‘BO’ on Mount Rushmore?    

It’s just that I’m more than a little curious about just what it was that ‘BO’ might actually have done that would justify him being added.  I mean, would it be for the same reason that he was elected president?  That, of course, being because he’s black?  I mean what else did ‘BO’ do other than to get himself elected?  I mean other than set race relations back roughly 150 years.  ‘BO’ came into office holding perhaps the greatest promise of any man ever elected.  But sadly, he was controlled by his politics and therefore so much of what could have been, turned out never to be.   

‘BO’ spent his entire eight years in office working to further divide this country like no one before him.  He did so by tirelessly shouting from the rooftops how racist and bigoted this nation truly is despite the fact that it elected him.  His was the single most destructive presidency in our nation’s history, as evidenced by this entire insane debate.  If a legacy of social unrest, street violence, the resurgence of racial hostilities, and a growing sentiment of hatred of one’s nation are the marks of a good presidency, then by all means he has rightfully earned his place on the mountain.

But those four men are on Mount Rushmore for what they did, not because they happen to be white.  Why would we add a guy who achieved virtually nothing good for America, just because he’s black?  Stop judging ‘BO’ on the color of his skin and start judging him by the content of his character.  He should never have been in the White House, let alone be on Mount Rushmore!   And let’s be honest, not even a complete re-write of history could ever make ‘BO’ into a good president or make him worthy of having his likeness placed next to those now on Mount Rushmore.  That’s just crazy!

In what’s a brief overview, Washington was a General during the revolution and our first president, Jefferson wrote most of the Constitution, Lincoln kept the country together and freed the slaves and Teddy Roosevelt fought against the Spanish.  So I’m going to need someone to tell me, what ‘BO’ did that was so great for this nation?  He certainly didn’t do anything worth documenting in the history of this country.  Except for being the first black man ever elected president.  And then even at that he did nothing that was neither righteous nor good for the American people or this country.

But as we all know, what ‘BO’ did do was to weaponize various government agencies for use against a political opponent.  Hell, you would think that that alone should be worthy of getting him placed alongside the likes of those four other great men.  Why isn’t he up there already?  I mean, golly?  And isn’t it about time we put a Democrat up there, so by putting ‘BO’ up there we could be killing two birds with one stone.  I mean, it only seems fair, right?  It shouldn’t only Republicans on Mount Rushmore.  But it should be only those who actually loved their country, and ‘BO’ does not! 

So the geniuses of ‘fake news’ push Mount Rushmore as having slave owners on it and its racist.  Yet, it was just a few years ago that these same supposed ‘journalists’ praised BOTH Hitlery and ‘BO’ when they took photo ops with Mount Rushmore as the backdrop.  Now, ‘LeMoan’ suggests adding ‘BO’ to Mount Rushmore.  But I must admit that I am a bit confused.  If those depicted on Mount Rushmore are racists, then why would ‘BO’ even want to be included among them?  I mean wouldn’t he most likely want his own mountain rather than share a mountain with four old white racists?

Yup, Affirmative Action at its finest. The guy who gave ISIS its start, gave billions to Iran the world leader in terror, allowed Russia to interfere in our elections and annex Crimea, drew the fake red line allowing Syria to use chemical weapons on its own people, allowed Benghazi, supported the regime that subjugated the Cuban people, appeased North Korea and tolerated their nuclear testing, cozied up to the thugs in Venezuela, and allowed China to steal more from our country than can ever be counted.  For sure, he deserves an entire mountain all his own, perhaps in Kenya.
